Former Google employees share how they were fired from the company on TikTok

Several of the 12,000 fired Google employees were surprised by this separation. They are telling it through TikTok.

A few days ago, Google made a massive layoff of 12,000 employees from its global payroll and many of those affected have still not been able to assimilate this sudden cut.

That is why, from TikTok , many of them have expressed their feelings about it, from how they found out, to what emotion this event caused.

Cuts in technology

The person in charge of breaking the news was Sundar Pichai, who wrote a lengthy memo to the entire payroll.

“Over the past two years we have seen periods of dramatic growth. To keep up and increase this growth, we contracted for a different economic reality than the one we live in today,” Pichai apologized.

“We have done a rigorous review across all product and feature areas to ensure our people and roles are aligned with our highest priorities as a company. The roles we are removing reflect the outcome of this review. They affect all of Alphabet, product areas, functions, tiers and regions,” she stated.
