Samsung  is targeting the entry-level with an interesting new competitor: the Galaxy A14 5G . The most recent “small” smartphone from the South Korean firm joins its line of products scheduled for this year and is the proposal designed to meet the needs of users with a limited budget.

After testing it for more than a month, at Niusgeek  we tell you all the details of the Samsung Galaxy A14 and, above all, if it is a convenient option for those looking for a mobile in this range.

Design

The Samsung Galaxy A14 has a slightly larger exterior than its predecessor Galaxy A13 . Unlike the dimensions of its previous model, the Galaxy A14 5G is 167.7 mm long x 78 mm wide and 9.1 mm high.

In addition, the design of the equipment is very reminiscent of those of the Galaxy S23 series, Samsung ‘s flagships released this year. The arrangement of the rear cameras is very reminiscent of that of the aforementioned powerful mobiles but, obviously, the cover is made of plastic and not of the luxurious high-end materials for a cost issue.

The side area of ​​the phone has the buttons to control the volume of the device and the lock button, which also houses the fingerprint reader. Personally, despite the fact that the phone was a bit larger than what I’m used to, a couple of days using the phone solved this detail since the grip is decent.

Screen

Regarding the display, the PLS LCD screen of the Galaxy A14 5G now has a FullHD+ resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 px, unlike its predecessor, and maintains the 6.6 inches and the 90Hz refresh rate that it already had. Although the fact that the panel is not OLED means that the image quality is not so remarkable, it performs well thanks to the fluidity with which it moves between apps.
