Remember Given The Movie ? The animated feature film that continued the story told in the animated series Given , based on the Japanese comic of the same name by Kizu Natsuki ?
Fuji TV today announced the untitled cinematic sequel. Here is the teaser:
This time the focus will be shifted to Kashima Hiiragi, the high school student and childhood friend of the protagonist Mafuyu.

The series aired in 2019 and the first film was released in 2020 in Japanese theaters.
The manga:
Serialized since 2014 in the Shinshokan’s Cheri+ magazine, the manga has so far been collected in eight volumes. In Italy it is published by the Flashbook publishing house.
The latest chapter will be published in Cheri+ issue 5/2023 due out May 30 .
Together with the special edition of the seventh volume, the OAD Given: Uragawa no Sonzai (Given – on the other hand) focused on Mafuyu and Ritsuka was sold , during the events of the film. The special is available with the film and animated series on Crunchyroll.
The cast:
Shougo Yano (Nano Kisaragi in Tsurune ) doubles Mafuyu Sato as voice and guitarist of the group;
Yūma Uchida (Ash Lynx in Banana Fish ) voices guitarist Ritsuka Uenoyama;
Masatomo Nakazawa (Marco in FLCL Progressive ) voices bassist Haruki Nakayama;
Takuya Eguchi (Kyoya Mitsurugi in KONOSUBA ) voices drummer Akihiko Kaji;
Shintarō Asanuma (Takumu Mayuzumi in Accel World, Youichi Kuramochi in Diamond no Ace, Nishiki Nishio in Tokyo Ghoul ) as Ugetsu Murata.

Directed by Hikaru Yamaguchi (director of Escha Chron, director of unit Mr. Osomatsu, Battle Spirits Double Drive), scripted by Yuniko Ayana (Girls Beyond the Wasteland, both seasons of BanG Dream!), as character designer: Mina Ōsawa and sound director: Hiroki Kikuta .
The animation is made by the Lerche studio (Radiant).
