Goodbye to the fourth-generation iPhone SE: they report its cancellation

According to analyst Ming Chi-Kuo, Apple has already communicated to all of its vendors that it will not release the next fourth-generation iPhone SE .

Apple will cancel the launch of the next iPhone SE  by 2024, according to a report by famous company analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

The information, obtained by MacRumors , indicates that Apple has already informed its suppliers that it will not launch an affordable fourth-generation model of its mobile.

unknown reasons

The analyst notes that the new iPhone SE was planned to test and tune Apple ‘s own new 5G chip before rolling it out to the 2024 iPhone 16.

Now, with the change, Qualcomm is expected to continue providing this technology for the company’s cell phones. Interestingly, for the better part of a decade, Apple has tried to reduce its reliance on this company.

“Due to concerns that the performance of the in-house baseband chip may not be on par with Qualcomm ‘s , Apple initially planned to release its baseband chip in 2024 and let the low-end iPhone SE 4 adopt it first and decide whether or not to leave it on the iPhone 16 ”, Kuo says. “However, the cancellation of the iPhone SE 4 has significantly increased the chances that Qualcomm will remain the exclusive supplier of baseband chips for the new 2H24 iPhone 16 series, which is better than the market consensus that Qualcomm will start to lose iPhone orders in 2024”.
