Google has just announced new features coming to Android 13 , including a new Wallet and features for tablets and smartwatches.
During the Google I/O 2022 event , the company has presented everything that Android 13 will bring to the huge ecosystem of phones, smart watches, tablets, cars and tablets.
After its longstanding payments push ended, the tech giant is back with a simpler platform called Google Wallet , which will replace Google Pay and “your wallet, too.”
With this new application, Google wants to replace and virtualize physical wallets. Credit and debit cards can be added, as well as transit and event tickets, airline boarding passes, gift cards, and immunization records. Also, virtual car keys and student IDs. This improvement will allow you to compete against Apple Pay .
Google indicates that they have also added new features to help with multitasking. “We are investing heavily in tablets and have made updates to the interface in 12L,” says the company.
For example, you can touch the toolbar to see the app tray, you can also drag and drop apps to see them in a side-by-side view.
The company indicates that it has been working to improve app experiences on Android tablets. “Over the next few weeks, we’ll be updating more than 20 Google apps to take full advantage of the extra space, including YouTube Music, Google Maps, Messages and more.”
