When Google introduced the Pixel 5a 5G, the first mobile TV commercial wasn’t the best. With music playing in the background, Google showed us a collection of out-of-focus pastels mixed with images of the new textured phone button and other device parts, not even mentioning its functions.
This week, Google released new mobile commerce, and it does everything the first one didn’t. Called “Everything you want in a mobile”, the video is 15 seconds long.
An off-screen speaker describes some of the phone’s features, such as Portrait Light, which allows users to add a bokeh effect or adjust the lighting on photos after they’ve been taken. The Titan M security chip is next to receive a short description (remember, this ad is only 15 seconds long), followed by a mention of the device’s 5G connectivity.
Perhaps the most critical information is released at the end of the video when the announcer speaks the price “starting at $449” and is displayed on the screen.
