Google has presented its first bet on the smartwatch market with the Pixel Watch .

Through a presentation event this Thursday, where it also showed the new Pixel 7 and 7 Pro , the company revealed its first step in this industry, with a promising team for Android users.

This is the Pixel Watch

Google had previously shown the style of the Pixel Watch and has used this presentation to show its functionality.

Featuring a sleek domed circular glass design with scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and a stainless steel case, Google seeks to combine style and health on its users’ wrists.

The company considers that the Pixel Watch has additional functions to Fitbit, a company that it has recently bought , such as maintaining LTE connectivity and being able to take full advantage of the Play Store apps on our arm.

The firm claims to have “the most accurate heart rate tracking.” It will also be upgraded with the ability to take blood oxygen saturation measurements and can take an ECG from the wrist.

It also includes additional health and wellness capabilities, such as skin temperature measurements and the ability to detect potential signs of stress.

The watch is water resistant to 5 ATM, which means it should be able to withstand pressure equivalent to a depth of 50 meters. It also features an always-on display that can display the time and other information when the screen is idle.

The Pixel Watch runs on Google ‘s Wear OS 3.5 software .
