The production of Gotham Knights has officially begun.

The executive producer Natalie Abrams has posted a photo on twitter to announce the news, showing us a chair in the backstage with the logo of the series.

It’s been four months since The CW ordered production, evidently satisfied with the pilot episode. As we saw in the first trailer ,

the plot takes root from the assassination of Bruce Wayne , who leaves Gotham City without Batman ‘s protection .

Young Turner Hayes ( Oscar Morgan ), Bruce ‘s adopted son , is accused of the murder along with Carrie Kelley ( Navia Robinson ), Harper Row ( Fallon Smythe ), Cullen Row ( Tyler DiChiara ) and Duela Dent (Olivia Rose Keegan ). This unlikely gang will have to clear their name and save Gotham, swept by a crime wave following the death of its champion.

I remind you that Gotham Knights will be a completely autonomous series, and will have nothing to do with either Batwoman (already canceled) or with the Arrowverse (now almost dead). The debut is expected in 2023 on the American network.
