Entertainment Weekly has released a photo from Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol.
3 depicting Gamora ( Zoe Saldaña ) and Peter Quill ( Chris Pratt ), the latter in the new uniform of the team.
The current Gamora is not the same as in the first two films, but a version from the past, as we saw in Avengers: Endgame . As a result, she doesn’t share any history with the Guardians – apart from the final battle against Thanos – and she’s not in love with Peter , who will try to find a connection with her anyway. In this photo, Star-Lord is holding a polaroid (the same one Gamora is looking at in the trailer), but we don’t know what it portrays.
However, director James Gunn explains that the three films are to be considered as many chapters of the same story, so the third represents the final act:
This is the big one. This is where things really happen. It’s where we uncover the truth about who these characters are, and face the highest stakes.
I remind you that the team recently appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special , available on Disney + , while Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3 will be released on May 3, 2023 in Italian cinemas.

For @EW’s 2023 preview, I had the best time chatting with @JamesGunn about Guardians Vol. 3 and why he had to finish the trilogy for Rocket. https://t.co/1SX30opsJL
