Director James Gunn has confirmed the casting and production of the film begin in November.
The Adam Warlock MCU was chosen. Will Poulter will play the character in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3”, information released by Deadline and already confirmed by director James Gunn.

Production is scheduled to begin in November, with the release date currently set for May 2023.
Poulter is a 28-year-old actor known for his roles in the “Maze Runner” franchise, “The Return,” “Black Mirror: Bandersnatch,” and “Midsommar.” He was also in the recent miniseries “The Underground Railroad” and may be seen in the upcoming series “Dopesick.”
Adam Warlock’s entry into the MCU was hinted at in one of the post-credits scenes of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” Sovereign Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki) contemplates her creation, the perfect, super-powerful being who would end the Guardians once and for all.
There are still no details about the plot of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3”. The original cast will return, and before that, there will be the group’s Holiday Special, scheduled for release in 2022, whose story will connect to the film. James Gunn is in charge of scripting and directing both productions.
