Among the various projects that will be presented at the Marché du Film in Cannes we also find the next film directed by Guy Ritchie (Aladdin, Covenant), still untitled.
It is a big-budget action film starring Henry Cavill (The Witcher, The Man From UNCLE), Jake Gyllenhaal (Spider-Man: Far From Home, Covenant) and Eiza González (Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw ).
According to Deadline’s sources, the film’s plot revolves around two extraction specialists who must plan an escape route for a high-level negotiator. Ritchie wrote the original screenplay.
Producing: Ritchie with partner Ivan Atkinson and John Friedberg of Black Bear International, who also produced Ritchie’s last two films. Jill Silfen negotiated the deal on behalf of Black Bear International.
Ritchie’s statement
There’s something special that happens when you collaborate regularly with the same partners: a connection and trust is established that allows everyone to do their best work. Jake, Henry and Eiza are all extraordinarily talented, committed and engaging actors. It will be an action-packed, intellectually challenging and physically exhilarating film.
It may be one of the highest budgeted projects, or perhaps the one with the largest, that Black Bear International presented to distributors worldwide today.
Ritchie recently wrapped filming The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, set during World War II, starring Cavill and González.
