The protagonists of the original, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy , will return in the sequel, of which we have already seen a first image on the occasion of Disney + Day. In the new film they will be joined by Tony Hale, Sam Richardson, Hannah Waddingham, Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, Belissa Escobedo, Doug Jones, Juju Brenner, Froy Gutierrez, Taylor Henderson and Nina Kitchen .
Hocus Pocus 2 is directed by Anne Fletcher , director of Step Up and Blackmail of Love , but also of episodes of This Is Us and Love, Victor . Fletcher takes over from Adam Shankman , who has given up to direct Disney ‘s Disenchanted sequel, in which we will see Amy Adams again .
The official synopsis of Hocus Pocus 2
It has been 29 years since someone lit the Candle from the Black Flame and resurrected the sisters of the 17th Century, and now they are seeking revenge. This time around, it’s up to three high school students to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking havoc in Salem before dawn on Halloween.

Some pranksters unwittingly conjure up three eccentric witches (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy) from the 1700s Salem. Thus begins a night of hilarious nonsense. The witches want to cast a spell on the city to recover their youth … but first they’ll have to get back on their feet and beat three kids and a talking cat.
