Hotel Transylvania 4 | Amazon confirms launch of animation in January on streaming

Amazon has confirmed the acquisition of “Hotel Transylvania: 4” and announced that the animation reaches the Prime Video on January 14th globally except China (via Variety ).

The film is a Sony Pictures Animation production and is the latest in a franchise that has grossed the studio more than $1 billion at the box office. Initially, the show would debut in July in US theaters, but “Cinderella” switching to streaming was the option chosen.

In the new adventure, a mysterious Van Helsing invention spirals out of control and results in Drac and his friends transformed into humans and Johnny into a monster. With Mavis’ help, a race begins to alter the changes before they become permanent. The problem is that while Drac is deprived of his powers, Johnny loves his life as a monster.

The original dubbing team includes Selena Gomez, Andy Samberg, Kathryn Hahn, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi, David Spade, Brian Hull, Asher Blinkoff, Brad Abrell, Fran Drescher, Jim Gaffigan, and Molly Shannon.
The film is directed by the duo Jennifer Kluska and Derek Drymon. The script was written by Genndy Tartakovsky, creator of the series. The production is by Alice Dewey Goldstone.
