One of the most popular characters in the Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy franchise is undoubtedly Groot.
The cute anthropomorphic tree that communicates only and exclusively through a sentence: ” I am Groot ” ( I am Groot , in Italian).
Voiced in the original version by Vin Diesel , this character is now the protagonist of a series of his own, now available on Disney + . I Am Groot , this is the title of the series, is made up of five short animated shorts, centered on a “baby” version of the character.
In each episode we see him intent on growing and getting into trouble among the stars, in some cases in the company of some fellow adventures such as Rocket , the anthropomorphic raccoon also a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, almost a father figure for him.
Directed by Kirsten Lepore , this series is devoured all in one breath (adding up the episodes, they are in total about twenty minutes), giving moments of healthy good humor.
Where does I Am Groot fit into the MCU?
As confirmed by producer Brad Winderbaum , the adventures of little Groot take place in a very short period of time, which can be placed between the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and the post-credit scene present in the film , with Groot becoming a teenager.
