IMMACULATE: SIMONA TABASCO FROM WHITE LOTUS TO HORROR WITH SYDNEY SWEENEY

After The White Lotus , Simona Tabasco prepares to conquer America.

The Neapolitan actress has indeed been cast in Immaculate , a psychological horror that will also star Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney .

Written by Andrew Lobel and directed by Michael Mohan ( The Voyeurs , also starring Sydney Sweeney), Immaculate will tell the story of Cecilia (Sweeney), a woman of great faith who is offered an important role in an illustrious Italian convent. Her warm welcome to the idyllic Italian countryside is interrupted when Cecilia discovers her new home holds terrifying secrets.

The cast will also include Álvaro Morte , Benedetta Porcaroli , Dora Romano and Giorgio Colangeli . Sweeney and Jonathan Davino will produce for Fifty-Fifty Films, along with David Bernad and Black Bear Pictures’ Teddy Schwarzman and Michael Heimler . John Friedberg, Christopher Casanova and Will Greenfield will serve as executive producers.

Simona Tabasco was very popular in the second season of The White Lotus , so much so that she was immediately signed with the WME agency. Now this role only cements the image of an actress who is trying to pursue a career outside the Italian borders, strong in excellent English which allows her not to be necessarily tied to her own language. We’ll see if in the future she will also be able to get non-Italian roles in international productions.
