After Possessor and Antiviral , Brandon Cronenberg continues on the path of science fiction thriller with Infinity Pool ,
which will be presented in January at the Sundance Film Festival .
Alexander Skarsgård plays James , a writer vacationing with his wife Em ( Cleopatra Coleman ) in a luxurious resort on a foreign island. When the bewitching Gabi ( Mia Goth ) lures them outside the safe confines of the village, James runs over someone in the road, and faces the death sentence. However, there is a solution: in exchange for a large sum, he is offered the possibility of being cloned, so that twice as much as he is executed in his place. James agrees, but he might not like the consequences.
As for Mia Goth , the talented English actress is increasingly becoming one of the faces of the new horror cinema, following the recent X and Pearl .

The official synopsis
While staying at a lonely island resort, James (Alexander Skarsgård) and Em (Cleopatra Coleman) are enjoying the perfect vacation amidst pristine beaches, exceptional staff and sunbathing. But, led by the mysterious and seductive Gabi (Mia Goth), they venture beyond the confines of the resort and find themselves in a culture filled with violence, hedonism and unspeakable horrors. A tragic accident forces them to face a zero tolerance for crime: either you will be executed, or – if you are wealthy enough to afford it – you can watch yourself die.
