D23 Expo, the convention dedicated to the world of Disney that will take place this weekend, on 9, 10 and 11 September.
The Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, is just around the corner.
Many important announcements will arrive in the next few hours and, as always in these cases, rumors are chasing each other on the web. One in particular concerns the sequel to an animated film particularly loved by the public: Inside Out .
Is the Inside Out sequel coming?
According to what Matthew Belloni revealed in his newsletter, Puck News , the sequel will take place and will be announced during the event. Details are very few at the moment but it seems that Bill Hader and Mindy Kaling , original voice actors of Fear and Disgust, will not be returning to the vocal cast. That’s all for now, as always we will keep you updated.
Directed by Pete Docter and arrived in theaters in 2015, Inside Out reminds us of a young girl, where emotions such as Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust and Fear coexist.
The plot
Riley’s 11-year-old Mind Control Center is located in Headquarters, where five Emotions are at work, led by the likeable and optimistic Joy, whose mission is to ensure Riley’s happiness. Other Emotions include Fear which grants the girl the necessary security, Anger which ensures a sense of fairness and justice, and Disgust which prevents Riley from poisoning herself both physically and socially. Sadness does not know what her role is as it is not clear to others either.
When Riley moves her family to a new metropolis, the Emotions within her immediately get to work, eager to guide her through the difficult transition. However, Joy and Sadness are relegated to a remote corner of her mind, leaving room for Fear, Anger and Disgust. Joy and Sadness venture to unfamiliar places including Long Term Memory, Imagilandia, Abstract Thinking and Cineproduction, in a desperate attempt to return to HQ and to Riley.
