In recent years, Instagram has sought to innovate communication and closeness with its users, the application and its creators. 

They know that every day many people use this social network as a basic element of their daily routine. For this reason, it offers its consumer many options to manage their networks to their liking, one of these is when posting any photo, reel or video on their profile and controlling the comments section.

Through the control of the comments of the publications , the user can set some of these that are more striking and want to highlight it from the others, such as the interaction that other social networks such as TikTok present. Although some of the new features are a bit confusing, pinning a comment is not complicated at all. The following note will detail the steps to be able to pin or add a pin to a particular comment.

How do you pin a comment on Instagram?

Pinning a comment will make it stand out from the rest, appearing on top of the other comments on the post. To do this, the user must follow these steps:

1. Search for the comment that the user of the application wishes to anchor and highlight at the top.
2. Once the user manages to find the comment, they must swipe it from right to left. After that, four icons of different interactions will appear, the one you should choose is the one that shows the pin icon that looks like a pin or a small bookmark.
3. You can pin a maximum of 3 comments per post, there is also the option to cancel comments if the person changes their mind and the pin is no longer attractive.

Can you pin your own comment?

Unfortunately, the user cannot pin their own comment on Instagram within their posts, this is very different from other applications that allow this action, such as the aforementioned TikTok and even YouTube. If the person wants to interact with their own comment, they can only reply to or delete it, but not pin it.
