Intel officially releases its desktop GPUs

The Intel Arc A380 is initially offered in China for about $160 at current exchange rates.

After starting its landing in the discrete graphics segment with laptops, Intel has announced the availability of the Arc A380, its first graphics card for desktop PCs .

This graphics card targets gamers who enjoy gaming in Full HD and content creators thanks to options like AV1 encoding.

How powerful is the Intel Arc A380?

The Intel Arc A380 has 6GB of GDDR6 VRAM, a 96-bit interface and a 2,000 MHz base clock. All of this running at 75W, which makes it an efficient card but not necessarily focused on enthusiasts.

Intel  claims the Arc A380  outperforms the Radeon RX 6400 , AMD ‘s next-generation entry-level product , for a little less.

The Intel Arc A380 has optimizations for content creators like Deep Link and is capable of rendering media at 8K resolution.

Intel graphics also have hardware-accelerated Ray Tracing . XeSS , Intel ‘s supersampling technology, is expected to arrive in the second half of the year in response to NVIDIA ‘s DLSS and AMD ‘s FSR .

Price and availability of the Intel Arc A380

The Intel Arc A380 is initially available in China and is expected to arrive in other markets soon.

Partners like Acer, ASUS, Gigabyte, Gunnir, HP and MSI will sell different models.

Its recommended price in China is 1,030 yuan (about US$160 at the current rate).

Intel indicated that graphics cards that will offer higher performance will be available in the coming months.
