Users of recent high-end iPhones have a very interesting and little-known option available from iOS 14 .

The Measure app can instantly tell you the height of a person from the ground to their head, hair or hat .

Apple even claims that it can do it with a person sitting down.

How to know the height of a person using an iPhone?

  • Open the Measurements app.
  • Position the phone so that you can see the target from head to toe.
  • The app will display a line at the top of the target’s head, indicating its height.
  • You can take a photo using the “Take Photo” button (circle in the lower right corner).
  • Save the screenshot in “Photos” or “Files” so you can access it whenever you want.

iPhone models with which you can do this

Not all recent iPhones have this function, which is supported by the LiDAR scanner, for now present in the Pro and Pro Max models since the iPhone 12 generation .

These iPhones allow you to measure someone with the Measures app.
