After Armageddon Time – Il tempo dell’apocalypse , recently released in Italian cinemas, director James Gray has set his sights on his next project.

It is about Ezekiel Moss , described as a ghost story set in the era of the Great Depression of the 1920s. Keith Bunin ( Onward, Horns ) wrote the screenplay. The film will be produced by Likely Story and Focus Features.

Ezekiel Moss will be the story of a young boy with a wild imagination, resident of a provincial town, who befriends a mysterious wanderer who may have the supernatural ability to communicate with the dead.

Apparently, Bunin recently handed the studio a draft of the script that both Focus and Gray loved, and Gray will now further develop the script with Bunin ahead of filming.

Focus has been developing the project for some time: initially, Philip Seymour Hoffman was supposed to direct it, before his untimely death in 2014.

That’s all about Ezekiel Moss for now , we’ll update you as soon as we know anything more.
