JOHN CENA AND JACKIE CHAN TEAM UP IN HIDDEN STRIKE, HERE’S THE TRAILER

Legendary Jackie Chan and former wrestler and new action icon John Cena team up in the action film Hidden Strike , directed by Scott Waugh ( Need for Speed, Act of Valor, Expendables 4 ).

The two will play a pair of ex-Special Forces soldiers who must escort civilians through the so-called “Highway of Death”, the stretch of road that runs from Kuwait City to Iraq, up to the green belt of Baghdad. You can watch the trailer below…

The film is set in the near future, where a war for oil is raging in the Middle East. Echoes of Mad Max: Fury Road are also picked up from the trailer , obviously with much less ambition and more desire to have fun. Let’s hope the film keeps its promises.

Hidden Strike is written by Arash Amel ( A Private War, The Titan, Grace of Monaco ) and also stars Pilou Asbæk . The film is a co-production between China and the United States and was shot entirely in China, between Beijing and Inner Mongolia.

Cena will play Chris Van Horne, a role initially thought for Sylvester Stallone , who later withdrew from the project. Chan will play Luo Feng, while Pilou Asbæk will play Owen Paddock.
