LAMB: FROM MARCH 31ST IN CINEMAS, THE ITALIAN TRAILER

Lamb , Icelandic director Valdimar Jóhannsson ‘s debut , presented in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival last year, will also arrive in Italian cinemas.

The film will be released by Wanted Cinema starting March 31st.

The synopsis:

Lamb tells the story of a couple, formed by María (Noomi Rapace) and Ingvar (Hilmir Snaer Gudnason), who live on a remote farm surrounded by cold Icelandic nature, where they look after their flock and work the land.

One day the two find a newborn in their agricultural field and do not know why he is there alone. Having no children, but enticed by the prospect of family life, Maria and Ingvar decide to keep the little one with them. They do not know that their moment of joy is destined to end and will lead them to complete destruction …

The cast

The cast includes: Swedish Noomi Rapace, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson and Hilmir Snær Guðnason.

The screenplay is the work of Jóhannsson and Icelandic writer Sjón (who also wrote Robert Eggers ‘ The Northman ).

The film is produced by Hrönn Kristinsdóttir, Sara Nassim, Piodor Gustafsson, Erik Rydell, Klaudia Smieja-Rostworowska and Jan Naszewski .
