Snapchat has added an artificial intelligence based on ChatGPT to converse with users of the premium service.
The messaging application Snapchat has announced the launch of My A I, a new ‘chatbot’ that runs the latest version of OpenAI’s ChatGPT technology and that it has customized for its platform.
ChatGPT is a text-conversation-trained technology that is based on the GPT 3.5 language model and has the ability to generate and link concepts and ideas, as well as to remember conversations.
Trials for subscribers
The social network has now commented that it has made an experimental feature available to Snapchat + subscribers called My AI , which runs ChatGPT and is set to launch this week. It’s a technology that can “recommend gift ideas, plan a hiking trip or suggest dinner recipes.”
Snapchat has indicated that it can be given a name and customize the wallpaper of the ‘chat’ and has warned that “like all ‘chatbots’ with AI, My AI is prone to hallucinations and can be tricked into saying anything stuff”

On the other hand, the company has indicated that all conversations with this AI will be stored and can be reviewed to improve the product experience, so it has recommended not to share secrets with her “or trust her advice.”
In doing so, it has recognized that although this technology is designed to prevent biased, incorrect, harmful or misleading information, errors can occur. (Europe Press)
