Apple is also thinking of moving production of its iPad and Apple Watch to Vietnam.
Apple wants to stop relying on China for the production of its devices and is considering India and Vietnam as its new destinations.
JP Morgan analysts believe that these Asian countries will receive between 20 and 25% of the production of the company’s devices by 2025.
Apple starts to move
According to the report to its clients, JP Morgan notes that Apple will move 5% of global iPhone 14 production to India by the end of 2022 and expand its manufacturing capacity in the country to produce 25% of all iPhones for 2025.
Vietnam , on the other hand, will contribute 20% of all iPad and Apple Watch production, 5% of MacBook, and 65% of AirPods by 2025.
Although Apple has a small market share in India , the iPhone maker has expanded its investment in the country in the past five years, launching its online store in 2020 and is poised to put its first brick-and-mortar store in the country.
