The first clip of the new Pixar movie Lightyear – The True Story of Buzz is available , arriving in our cinemas on June 15th.
The video introduces the Sox robot cat , voiced in the original version by Peter Sohn.
The clip
New Disney & Pixar Lightyear Adventure – Buzz’s True Story tells the origins of Buzz Lightyear, the hero who inspired the Toy Story toy, and follows the legendary Space Ranger after getting stuck on a hostile planet at 4.2 millions of light years from Earth along with its commander and their crew. As Buzz tries to find a way home through time and space, he is joined by a group of ambitious recruits and his irresistible companion robot cat, Sox. The arrival of Zurg, a massive presence with an army of ruthless robots and a mysterious end, complicates matters and jeopardizes the mission.
The film is directed by Angus MacLane (co-director of Finding Dory ) and is produced by Galyn Susman ( Toy Story: Another World ). The film’s soundtrack is signed by award-winning composer Michael Giacchino ( The Batman, Up ).
In the Italian version of the film, Alberto Malanchino, Ludovico Tersigni and Esther Elisha lend their voices who respectively interpret the Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear; Sox, his companion robot cat; and Alisha Hawthorne, his commander and best friend.
