HBO Max has in fact canceled the series after two seasons.

The online platform greeted the show with the following release, via Variety :

We are tremendously grateful for the spectacular journey these past two seasons, thanks to Alissa Nutting, Christina Lee, Cristin, Billy, Ray and the entire cast of Made for Love and the creative team – especially the talking dolphin Zelda and the romantic interest. Everyone’s favorite synthetic, Diane. Like a Gogol chip, the series will stay on our minds forever.

In the series, Cristin Milioti played the protagonist Hazel Green , who decides to escape from her sweltering marriage to a tech billionaire ( Billy Magnussen ). Unfortunately, however, he has implanted a revolutionary surveillance system in her head that allows him to monitor her, track her down and even learn about her thoughts and feelings.

The official synopsis

Made for Love is an adaptation of Alissa Nutting’s tragicomic novel of the same name. The series revolves around Hazel Green, a 30-year-old on the run after ten years of a suffocating marriage to an unstable, demanding, and possibly tech billionaire sociopath. She soon discovers that he has grafted a revolutionary surveillance system into her brain – the Made for Love – that allows him to track her down, monitor her and learn about her thoughts and feelings while she tries to stay alive.

The cast

In addition to Cristin Milioti and Billy Magnussen , the cast of Made for Love also includes Ray Romano , Noma Dumezweni , Augusto Aguilera and Caleb Foote .

The direction

The series is directed by SJ Clarkson , known for her work in EastEnders, Life on Mars, Dr. House, Orange Is the New Black, Dexter, Bates Motel, TURN, Whitechapel, Banshee, Vinyl, Jessica Jones, The Defenders and other shows.
