The plot

Kat Valdez (Lopez) is part of the sexiest power couple in the world alongside new music star Bastian (played by Maluma, making his film debut). As Kat and Bastian’s hit “Marry Me” rises relentlessly to the top of the charts, the two are about to marry in front of a crowd of fans, in a ceremony that will be broadcast simultaneously on multiple platforms.

A high school math teacher, divorced Charlie Gilbert (Owen Wilson) is dragged to the singers’ concert by his daughter Lou (Chloe Coleman, formerly in the cast of the HBO series “” Big Little Lies “) and her best friend (Sarah Silverman). When Kat, seconds into the ceremony, discovers that Bastian has cheated on her with her assistant, her life takes an unexpected turn and, as she has a meltdown on stage, she begins to question love, truth. and fidelity. As his muffled world slowly falls apart, from the stage he gazes on a stranger – a face in the crowd.

If what you know disappoints you, maybe the answer is in what you don’t know, and so, in a moment of madness, Kat decides to marry Charlie. What starts with an impulsive reaction turns into an unexpected love story. But while some conspire for the two to separate, everyone’s question is: Can two people from such different universes iron out the differences and create a unique place in the world to belong to?
