MONSTER: NEW MOVIE POSTER BY HIROKAZU KORE-EDA

The first poster of Monster (Kaibutsu), the new film by Japanese director Hirokazu Kore’eda which will be presented in the coming months at the Cannes Film Festival, has been released online.

The synopsis:

The film is set in a suburban city surrounded by a large lake. A single mother who loves her son, a teacher who loves her students and innocent children lead a peaceful life, until one day a fight breaks out between children at school. The issue gradually turns into an important theme involving adults, society and the media, and the film tells how children vanish without a trace on a rainy morning.

Hirokazu Kore-eda recently won Best Director (Broker) at the 16th Asian Film Awards, held at the Hong Kong Jockey Club Auditorium in the Hong Kong Palace Museum on March 12.
