The plot
In 1988, best friends Abby and Gretchen, in second year of high school, decide to spend a weekend together at the lake in anticipation of Gretchen moving elsewhere with the family. One evening they go to a house where Satanic rituals are said to have taken place and things take a turn for the worse: Gretchen starts acting weird, she’s moody and irritable, and bizarre incidents happen around her. Abby’s investigation leads her to conclude that Gretchen was possessed by a demonic entity. Their fate will be determined by the answer to a single question: is their friendship strong enough to beat the Devil?
