Google has started displaying health metrics collected byGoogle Fit and Fitbit devices on Nest Hubs, the company’s screen-based assistants.
The company has launched a support page detailing how to link Google Fit or Fitbit accounts to the display through Google Assistant . Of course, it does not specifically indicate which generation of Hub allows this connection.
A single ecosystem
Linking your new flagship wearable device together with your Nest Hub displays is another example of interconnectivity between existing Google devices .
In order to set it up on your screens, you need to go to “Assistant Settings”, then “Wellness” and finally “Activity” to get started. The function can also be enabled verbally to be able to listen to all the statistics of our physical activity.
Of course, it is important to remember that anyone with access to your Nest device will also be able to see those metrics.
At the moment, the second-generation Nest Hub only provides sleep tracking thanks to the company’s Soli sensor technology.
The official release date for this functionality is unknown, but it is expected to be released in the coming months.
