Netflix continues to shake up the company after poor results.
Netflix continues to reorganize itself and now the workers in its animation department have been affected.
Deadline reported that the streaming giant has laid off 30 employees from the Netflix Animation team .
Netflix confirmed to TechCrunch the reduction of personnel in this department.
This is in response to plans to change how animation is done at Netflix . The company recently appointed executives Karen Toliver and Traci Balthazor to reorganize these teams.
Netflix expects Netflix Animation to make more quality content with less staff, but better organization.
Netflix in times of change
Netflix ‘s slower revenue growth and a hit to its subscriber count in 2022 have hit the company.
In May there was talk of “hundreds of layoffs at Netflix ”. TechCrunch indicates that these numbered more than 450.
A more affordable ad-supported plan is expected to be introduced for some countries in November as a strategy to bring more subscribers and revenue to Netflix .
