The plot
Hayes also co-wrote the script with Polly Smyth , a veteran costume designer making her debut as a screenwriter. The story centers on two strangers crossing a desert and stumbling upon the largest gold nugget ever discovered. The two agree on a plan to protect and extract the nugget. One of the two will have to go in search of the necessary tools. The other will have to stay and will be faced with the merciless desert climate, hungry wild dogs and mysterious intruders. And the suspicion of having been abandoned to his fate will begin to harbor.
