The synopsis:
When Ballister Boldheart, knight of a futuristic medieval world, is falsely framed for a crime he didn’t commit, the only person who can help him prove his innocence is Nimona, mischievous teenager who loves chaos and one of the shape-shifting creatures that the same warrior has been trained to destroy.
But with the entire kingdom against him, Nimona is Ballister’s best (or perhaps only) ally. And as the roles between heroes, villains and monsters begin to blur, the two protagonists are determined to wreak havoc: Ballister to prove his innocence once and for all and Nimona to… just wreak havoc.

Initially in development at Blue Sky Studios , which closed after its purchase by Disney, the film is directed by Nick Bruno and Troy Quane .
Roy Lee, Karen Ryan and Julie Zackary are producers, Robert L. Baird, Megan Ellison and Andrew Millstein are executive producers. Co-produced by Netflix and Annapurna Pictures , the animations are the work of DNEG , the new animation division of Annapurna .
