This summer, Jennifer Lawrence will star in the romantic comedy No Hard Feelings , directed and co-written by Gene Stupnitsky ( Bad Teacher ).
Lawrence plays Maddie, a desperate woman who accepts the request of a couple of helicopter parents: to date their 19-year-old son in exchange for a car.
Sony won the distribution rights to the film in an auction in October 2021, where it faced stiff competition .
The synopsis:
When she realizes she’s about to lose her childhood home, Maddie (Lawrence) discovers an intriguing job posting: Wealthy Helicopter Parents are looking for someone to “date” their introverted 19-year-old son, Percy, before he takes off. for college. Much to her surprise, Maddie soon discovers that awkward Percy isn’t the safest type.

Alongside Lawrence we find Matthew Broderick and Laura Benanti as Percy’s parents, while Natalie Morales and Scott MacArthur play Maddie’s best friends. Andrew Barth Feldman as Percy.
Rounding out the cast are Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Kyle Mooney, Hasan Minhaj, Jarquez McClendon and Alysia Joy Powell .
