Google presented its new Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro phones, with Android 13 and slight changes compared to the 2021 model.
After the great change in design of the Pixel range in 2021, Google has gone down the hidden path of updating and has presented two new models very similar to those of last year. Finally, and after briefly showing up at Google I/O , the Mountain View brand presents the unmysterious Pixel 7 and the Pro variant .

A continuous and separatist design
At first glance, Google tweaks the Pixels to give slight twists in design: we maintain the IP68 certification and the Gorilla Glass Victus cover on both teams, differentiating the Pro proposal by a few more millimeters in size.
The screen is also another of the separatist elements in design. In the case of the Pro model, we have an LPTO AMOLED panel with a 120 hertz refresh rate, while the standard stays at 90 update cycles. Both include an optical fingerprint sensor that is hopefully better than the one built into the Pixel 6.
The third dividing element is the camera arrangement that, again, prioritizes the Pro. Although both maintain the 50MP main sensor and 12 wide angle, the 7 Pro boasts a 48MP telephoto lens with up to 5X optical zoom capability, providing more digital reach to the team. This point is important, due to the supremacy of Google in the photographic section.
The fourth distinction comes under the chassis: the battery. While the most powerful model has 12GB of RAM and a 500 mAh battery, the Pixel 7 starts with 8GB and 4,335 mAh for its autonomy.
G2 tensioner – hopefully better
With the Tensor G1, Google didn’t throw a key ball into the stands: the benchmark numbers. This seems to be the same case, but those who use Pixel on a regular basis know that it is a team that only acts, that it does not take long to open and close apps, and that it solves all the processes.
Here we find an evolution of the chip created by Google for phones, which should be able to better manage the battery and hardware resources. Along with this, Android 13 comes out of the box and with important additions to task issues.
The software: the magic of Google.
Google has made it clear that Pixel is a brand founded on technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Android and Google Tensor; that differs from others by the type of experiences that other users provide and focused on privacy, security and utility.
In the case of G2, they have added a new TPU that allows faster management to improve the tasks that Google has added in previous generations. In addition, the inclusion of the Titan M2 chip used in Google’s cloud platforms adds several layers of data security, a defense with five years of guaranteed updates.
According to Google, this type of innovation will protect user data in environments such as text messages, health data stored on the device and other environments such as web browsing. To guarantee navigation, Google will present its own VPN in its system.
The other topic is the transcription of messages from the messaging app, a process that adds text processes over audio messages to make it easier to understand a message.
Pixel Call Assist allows you to have on-screen autoresponders, navigate business options, receive spam call notifications, and more. In addition, “Clear Calling” will be the future novelty of this series that will allow you to isolate the sound of the conversations to hear the interlocutor clearly.
Pixel cameras: the high point of the industry
One of the most important additions to the Pixel’s cameras is the ability to allow visually impaired people to use them and receive auditory feedback about framing in selfies and prime lens photography.
Google promises to reduce photo blur by harnessing the Tensor G2’s computational power and merging different images to remove more system-induced blur. “Photo Unblur” is also added for Google Photos and Pixel users, with which we can focus the captures once hosted.
Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro: the prices
In this case, Google does not hide surprises either and proposes the same price line as in 2021: $599 for the 128GB Pixel 7 and $899 for the Pixel 7 Pro with a similar capacity. Additionally, Google will include other equipment for its trade-in program. At the moment, it will be available only in 16 countries, including the United States and Spain.
