The Phone (1) will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip and its own customization layer on top of Android.
Nothing has confirmed that it is currently developing phone (1) , its first smartphone, which will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and Google ‘s Android operating system , and will be part of its own ecosystem developed under Nothing OS.
In mid-February, an exchange of social media posts between Nothing founder Carl Pei and the official Android and Qualcomm accounts hinted at the company’s intention to have its own mobile phone.
This intention became a reality this Wednesday, with the official announcement of phone (1) , which becomes the second device in the company’s product ecosystem, after the launch of the wireless ear headphones (1) .
With this equipment, the company seeks to offer “perfect connectivity” and a distinctive “iconic design”, and for this, it has shared the first data of this device: Snapdragon processor and Nothing OS software , with the best of Android in its pure version , which will offer three years of software updates and four years of security.
Specifically, Nothing OS has been designed to encompass the company’s ecosystem and integrate different products, both its own and those of other brands, into it. It will offer a fast and fluid experience, and an interface that will allow you to customize fonts, colors, graphic elements and sounds.
A first preview of Nothing OS will be available through a first launcher that can be downloaded on certain smartphone models starting in April. And about the mobile phone, the company has indicated that it will hit the market in winter.
You’ve speculated, and now you know.
Nothing phone (1) is officially coming.
It’s unlike anything else.

A “prepared” company
Nothing ‘s founder and CEO , Carl Pei , is also the founder of OnePlus , one of the fastest growing companies in the business today, and has shared the company’s intent to bring back all the excitement and possibility around technology, the innovation that it promised in the future and that today has disappeared.
This is precisely what Nothing seeks to change , a company that believes it is “prepared” to bring that exciting future back, since it has the team (more than 300 people), with the support of technological partners (such as Google , Samsung, Sony, Qualcomm ) and the capital required to do so.
In this vein, Nothing has also announced the allocation of $10 million for an upcoming equity-based community investment round at the same valuation as its Series B fundraising co-led by EQT Ventures and C Ventures.
This second round, which will start on April 5, will allow investors to access Nothing ‘s private community , through which they will obtain benefits and exclusive information about the company. (EuropePress)
