ONE PIECE FILM: RED – A VIDEO TO CELEBRATE 100 DAYS IN THEATERS

Yesterday, the official One Piece YouTube account released a special video that traces the first 100 days of One Piece Film: Red in Japanese theaters .

The video is accompanied by the song New Genesis sung by Uta, the co-star in the film.

This is the first film in the franchise to be released in more than 100 countries worldwide.

The synopsis:

Uta, the most loved singer in the world, whose voice has been defined as “unearthly”, is also famous because she hides her true identity and another secret: Uta is Shanks’ daughter!

For the first time ever, she has decided to reveal her face to the world during a live concert! The concert arena, held on Elegia Island, fills up with all of his fans, including notorious pirates, members of the Navy, and the Straw Hat Pirates led by Luffy, all determined to enjoy this highly anticipated singing performance.

The concert begins and the audience discovers that the exceptional power of Uta’s voice hides a danger that could change the world. It will then be up to Luffy and Shanks to take action. Among many twists and turns, the battle for freedom is about to begin…

The staff:

Goro Taniguchi  previously directed the OAV  One Piece: Taose! Kaizoku Gyanzac , made for the  Jump Super Anime Tour 1998 , animated by  Production IG , with the character design of Oda who also covers the role of executive producer and editor of the script.

To the screenplay  Tsutomu Kuroiwa  (One Piece Film Gold, One Piece: Heart of Gold, GANTZ:O, live-action Black Butler), while the animation is once again the work of  Toei Animation .

The latest entries of the voice actors

Twelve-year-old Chise Niitsu (Kanna as a young man in Child of Kamiari Month) and Yuki Kaji (Eren in Attack on Titan) voices Romi and Yorueka, Uta’s fans, respectively.

Yuki Yamada (Joe Gibken / Gokai Blue in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger) and the two members of the Japanese comedy duo Shimofuri Myojo, Seiya and Soshina voice the members of the Pirates Jellyfish (Medusa), who attend Uta’s first live performance at the beginning of the film : Yamada as Captain Eboshi, Seiya as Kaginote and Soshina as Hanagasa.
