Directed by William Brent Bell ( The Other Face of the Devil, The Boy ), who replaces Jaume Collet-Serra , the film will be played again by Isabelle Fuhrman , despite the actress being twelve years old at the time of the first film (2009). Bell used a combination of forced perspective shooting and the work of a team of makeup artists to allow Fuhrman to play the lead again. Below you can see the trailer …

Orphan: First Kill will arrive on August 19th directly on Paramount +. Paramount’s streaming service will make its debut in Italy shortly after, in September .

The synopsis of Orphan: First Kill

Esther’s terrifying saga continues in this thrilling prequel to the original and shocking horror hit, Orphan . After orchestrating a brilliant escape from a psychiatric hospital in Estonia, Esther travels to America as the missing daughter of a wealthy family. Things take an unexpected turn, and Esther will have to clash with a mother who will do everything to protect her family from the murderous “baby”.

The cast also includes Julia Stiles, Rossif Sutherland and Hiro Kanagawa . Written by David Coggeshall ( Prey , Scream: The Series ), based on a story by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick ( Aquaman ) and Alex Mace ( Orphan ), the film is produced by Mace, Hal Sadoff and Ethan Erwin of Dark Castle Entertainment , and James Tomlinson . Johnson-McGoldrick is the executive producer.
