OSCAR 2022: FROM CINDERELLA TO DUNE, THE FILMS COMPETING AS “FAN FAVORITE”

As we know, Oscar Night 2022 will be awarded a special award to the audience’s favorite film.

The Academy has launched this initiative to involve the younger audience, with the belief, even if it has not been openly said, that the award in this would be awarded to Spider-Man: No Way Home , given the incredible success achieved by the film.

The new cinematic adventure of Spider-Man is actually present among the 10 finalist titles, which also include Cinderella , the musical reinterpretation of the famous fairy tale with Camila Cabello in the title role. There are also two nominated titles for Best Film, specifically Dune and Il fuoco del cane .

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts has announced that after Los Angeles Union Station, which hosted the ceremony last year (due to Covid, of course), it will return to the classic Dolby Theater . This year, the audience’s favorite film will also be introduced and voting has already started .
