OSCARS 2022: THE POINT AFTER THE GUILD NOMINATIONS

Yesterday the voting for the 2022 Oscars started, who will be nominated in the various categories? An idea we can do it after the conclusion of the announcement of the nominations of the last highest-profile corporations in Hollywood: Producers Guild, Writers Guild, Directors Guild and American Cinema Editors.

Denis Villeneuve ‘s Dune received the highest number of nominations (12) from the various Guilds, the film was recognized by all bands except SAGs. They follow with 9 West Side Story , with 8 Dog Power and Don’t Look Up . With 7 we findNightmare Alley and with 6 Belfast .

Belfast and Dog Power were ineligible for the WGA.

Recall that 25% of the Academy’s voting members are based outside the US, and most of them do not belong to Hollywood corporations, trade associations and honorary professional societies.

This detail could help non-English films such as Drive My Car, Madres paralelas, It Was the Hand of God , The Worst Person in the World and A Hero .

The list

Here is a recap of the most voted films from: Screen Actors Guild (SAG); Directors Guild (DGA); Producers Guild (PGA); Writers Guild (WGA); American Cinema Editors (ACE); American Society of Cinematographers (ASC); Art Directors Guild (CEO); Costume Designers Guild (CDG); Cinema Audio Society (CAS); Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE); Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild (MUAHS); Society of Composers and Lyricists (SCL) and Visual Effects Society (VES).
