After three Power Attack films and a fourth in the works, Night Has Fallen.
the franchise will continue with the eight-episode Paris Has Fallen TV series , produced in Europe by StudioCanal , which will begin shooting on May 30 in London and Paris.
Geard Butler , the interpreter of the American secret agent Mike Banning in the films, is not officially linked to the project but according to sources of Deadline could have a cameo. They are currently closing deals with the other cast members.
The filmmaker Mathieu Kassovitz ( Amelie, Le Bureau – Undercover ) will play the protagonist Vincent, responsible for the protection of a French minister, target of a terrorist group led by the villain Jacob. Vincent works with Zara, an MI6 agent, to keep the politician safe, but the two end up uncovering a larger conspiracy, and suspect that a colleague from the security services is feeding information to Jacob, who is always a step forward in his mission to destroy Paris.
Scripted by Howard Overman (Misfits), the series is directed by Oded Ruskin (Hulu’s No Man’s Land)
