PERCY JACKSON: RICK RIORDAN TALKS ABOUT THE FUTURE OF THE DISNEY + SERIES

Percy Jackson and the Olympians ‘ first season will be based on the first book of Rick Riordan ‘s literary saga , but will this also be the case for potential next seasons?

The author answered this question on Good Reads:

“That’s the idea, yes. Of course, we need to get approval for the next few seasons first. At the moment we have the green light for only one season, but if you all watch it and enjoy it, I am optimistic that we will get the approval to do more. ”

The cast:

Walker Scobell plays Percy Jackson, Aryan Simhadri is Grover, and Leah Sava Jeffries plays Annabeth. Alongside them we find Virginia Kull (Sally Jackson, Percy’s mother), Glynn Turman (Chiron, alias Mr. Brunner), Jason Mantzoukas (Dionysus, alias Mr. D.), Megan Mullally (Alecto alias Mrs Dodds),  Timm Sharp (Gabe Ugliano, Sally’s husband and Percy’s stepfather) in recurring roles.

The latest entries are: Dior Goodjohn, Olivea Morton  and  Charlie Bushnell , respectively as Clarisse La Rue, Nancy Bobofit and Luke Castellan.

Riordan and  Jon Steinberg  wrote the pilot, directed by  James Bobin  ( Dora and the Lost City, The Muppets ).

Steinberg and his partner  Dan Shotz  oversee the series and serve as executive producers. With them also Bobin,  Rebecca Riordan, Bert Salke, Monica Owusu-Breen, Jim Rowe, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Jeremy Bell  and  DJ Goldberg . The series is a 20th Television production.

Filming for  Percy Jackson and the Olympians is taking place in Vancouver, Canada. The eight-episode series will debut on Disney + .
