The passenger was able to see the launch of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from a unique and privileged view.
SpaceX -branded rocket launches have become huge events for amateur astronomers, but few have the good fortune to say they’ve seen them live.
But even if this were the case, there is still a group of even more privileged people who were able to observe these takeoffs from a unique place: inside a plane in the heights.
space rockets from space
TikTok user Chefpinkpr posted previously unpublished images of his experience.
His plane was just flying near Cape Canaveral in Florida when a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Space Launch Complex 40 of the US Space Force Station .
From the window of the plane, the lucky man was able to record the launch of the spacecraft. The video shows the ascent of the rocket until its prompt disappearance in the firmament.
pitching record
Falcon 9 rockets are widely used for the launch of third party satellites.
This Wednesday, for example, 54 new satellites were launched into different orbits on the company’s 60th flight, a record in its history since, in 2021, some 31 space flights were launched.
Much of this new payload will be used to build out the company’s next-generation Starlink satellite network to provide better connectivity to its users around the world.
