PRIME VIDEO ORDERS A JAMES BOND-INSPIRED REALITY SHOW

Within days of Amazon’s conclusion of the MGM acquisition process.

Prime Video has ordered a reality show based on the adventures of James Bond , 007’s Road to a Million , which will be produced by Michael G.

Wilson and Barbara Broccoli , historical producers. of the film saga, along with 72 Films and MGM Television. Dom Bird will oversee the project for MGM. Shooting will start later this year and the series will launch exclusively on Prime Video in the 240 territories where the service is active.

007’s Road to a Million will consist of eight episodes. In the center, a group of competitors who will have to compete in a global adventure to win the prize of one million pounds (approximately 1.2 million euros). The series will be shot in several locations made famous by the Bond films and will be a test of intelligence and stamina. Competitors, who will participate in pairs, will have to overcome physical obstacles and correctly answer hidden questions in different locations around the world in order to move on to the next challenge.

007’s Road to a Million might seem like the first sign of the merger between MGM and Amazon, but it had actually been in the works long before the e-commerce giant acquired the Hollywood studio. Sources close to the production say it has been in the pipeline for nearly four years. 72 Films joined the team a couple of years ago, and developed the project withDan Grabiner .
