Qualcomm showed significant advances on its high-end chip in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 , but its successor could be even better.
Leaks about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 are promising, hinting that Qualcomm could outperform Apple ‘s current A16 Bionic .
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3: How will it get better?
The leaks suggest that Qualcomm will be able to achieve a significant leap when it comes to performance.
Notebookcheck condensed the leaks of the processor that should be shown in the final installment of this year.
According to these, Qualcomm would rearrange its structure regarding the use of the 8 cores, adding one more for performance, achieving a (1+5+2). One of them is one of higher performance, accompanied by five performance and two efficiency.

Based on the leaks, a development version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 would achieve pretty high Cinebench scores : 1930 on a Single Core and 6236 on a Multi Core. The big difference would come in the Multi Core section, in which the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 does not reach 5,000 points.
If these numbers are true, Qualcomm would dethrone the A16 Bionic found in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max , which achieves averages of 1,874 in Single Core and 5,372 in Multi Core.
