Netflix has chosen to cancel the Resident Evil series after just one season. The news comes a month and a half after the distribution of the series, released on the platform on July 14, and it is not too surprising: Resident Evil was an expensive series and did not achieve sufficient results in terms of ratings. The series debuted in second place in the Netflix Top 10 with 72.7 million hours of viewing, and in its second week it moved into third position with 73.3 million hours, before completely exiting the Top 10 after three weeks. . Even the critics did not look favorably on the series, which recorded a 55% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The plot

Building on the success of one of the best-loved and best-selling survival horror video games of all time, the Resident Evil series tells a new story on two different timelines.

The cast
