RESIDENT EVIL: REVEALED THE RELEASE DATE OF THE NETFLIX SERIES

We’re talking about Resident Evil , a Netflix live-action series that now finally has a release date. As reported on these posters, the debut on the streaming platform is scheduled for next July 14th.

The series

Building on the success of one of the best-loved and best-selling survival horror video games of all time, the Resident Evil series tells a new story on two different timelines.

In the first, fourteen-year-old sisters Jade and Billie Wesker move to New Raccoon City, a city of industries and offices that they have to get used to despite themselves, right in the middle of their teens. The more time passes, the more they realize that the city is not what it seems and that their father may be hiding dark secrets. Secrets capable of destroying the world.

In the second we are catapulted into the future, about ten years later. Less than fifteen million people and over six billion monsters now live on Earth: people and animals infected with the T virus. A 30-year-old Jade tries to survive in this new world tormented by the secrets of the past concerning her sister, her father and herself. .

The cast:

Lance Reddick ( The Wire, Fringe, Bosch, John Wick ) plays the role of Albert Wesker. Alongside him we find Hanni Heinrich (Janet), Mpho Osei Tutu (Yen), Rizelle Januk (Billie’s teacher), Lea Vivier (Susana Franco), Ayushi Chhabra (Dr. Amrita Singh) and Richard Wright-Firth (Maskey ). Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, Candice van Litsenborgh and Paola Nuñez
complete the cast .

Andrew Dabb ( Supernatural ) participates as showrunner, while Bronwen Hughes ( The Walking Dead, The Journey Is the Destination ) is director and executive producer of the first two episodes. The series will consist of eight episodes, each lasting one hour.
