As promised, Rihanna unveiled her song for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever , titled Lift Me Up .

The song was written by Tems , Ludwig Göransson , Rihanna and Ryan Coogler to pay homage to the late Chadwick Boseman , who passed away in 2020. Tems said:

After talking to Ryan and hearing his direction for the movie and the song, I wanted to write something that conveyed the warm embrace of all the people I have lost in my life. I tried to imagine what it would be like if I could sing for them right now, and express how much I miss them. Rihanna was an inspiration to me, so hearing her sing this song was a great honor.

Rihanna has been missing from the scene for a while . Her latest studio album, Anti , dates back to 2017, while her latest single was 2020’s Believe It , along with PartyNextDoor . For the last solo single, however, we have to go back to 2017.

I remind you that we recently saw an extended commercial , the posters of the characters and the first clip of the film, which will be released in theaters on November 9th .

You can listen to Lift Me Up below. There is also a taste of the video clip, not yet available in full.
