A Russian convoy moving towards the Ukrainian capital Kiev has been photographed from space.

The images belong to the American company Maxar Technologies Inc, who points out that the military vehicles extended up to more than 5 kilometers of road.

The Russian ground force was captured 64 kilometers away from Kiev, the company mentions.

The transport was located northeast of the Ukrainian city of Ivankiv and contained fuel, logistics and armored vehicles, including tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and self-propelled artillery.

Damage in Ukraine

Satellite images also showed the damage caused by the recent air strikes on the Antonov airport in Hostomel and the heavy fighting in and around the airport.

Maxar has been tracking the buildup of Russian forces for weeks.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine has caused 368,000 people to flee that country, according to the latest data from the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR).

To them must be added 160,000 internally displaced persons, while at least 64 civilians have died and some 180 were injured, according to United Nations humanitarian agencies.
